Keele IT maintenance may cause disruption Saturday 20th July 2019

From Keele IT : Due to essential IT maintenance taking place this Saturday (20 July), all IT systems are subject to potential disruption throughout the day.  Work is being carried out to upgrade operating systems and servers all day on Saturday, and unfortunately IT Services cannot guarantee that University systems hosted by these servers will be available.  This work could affect all systems used across the University, including (but not limited to) the finance system, Keele People, SCIMS, Blackboard, Gmail, and TopDesk.  Maintenance on Blackboard will begin on Friday, so disruption is likely to begin from 10pm on Friday. Maintenance on other systems will begin around 6am on Saturday. The work is being completed on a Saturday in order to cause minimal disruption to our staff and students.  IT Services does however apologise if you are affected by systems being unavailable due to this maintenance.  All systems should be back up and running from Sunday morning.
