Wifi Access at the Health Library

We have received a number of comments from students regarding the lack of wifi access at the Health Library. Our IT department are working on this issue and have released the following statement: "Keele University Faculty of Health is very aware of the lack of Wi-fi at UHNS for our students and the potential inconvenience that might engender. We have been working very closely with our partners within the Trust to try and find a way that would allow relatively unrestricted Keele Wi-fi traffic to travel across what is, essentially, a NHS network at UHNS. As can be imagined this is a complex undertaking and not something that can be achieved without undergoing very significant due process. Please be assured that a workable solution is being considered and we would hope to see a test scenario within the next 12 months. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding." Photocopying costs slashed by 40%

In a move which aligns us with recent reductions at the Campus, and also for the first time brings copying into line with printing, photocopying costs have been cut with immediate effect: A4 - down from 5p to 3p per sheet A3 - down from 10p to 6p per sheet (These apply only to photocopying using funds loaded on Keele Cards or NHS library membership cards. Cash-only use of the coin box attached to one of the Canon copiers will still be charged at 5p and 10p).

Electives (Midwifery) - no change in library loan rules.

If you are embarking on an elective in the next few weeks, to ensure you do not incur any fines it is advisable to return your books to the library before starting your placement. Students are welcome to continue to borrow items, but please be aware that normal requirements to renew items, and the possibility that items will be recalled or fines incurred for late return/renewal, will still apply.
