Remember that there is a change to the Health Library opening hours over the Royal Wedding and Bank Holiday. The Campus Library will be open 24/7 during Easter and May although there may be a restricted counter service at some times. Remember that you can still access all our online resources - see the Quick Links on the Health Library home page.

NHS Athens users trying to access our ejournal titles provided via the Science Direct database from Elsevier will need to use the Science Direct login option (at the top of the page). Follow the links to login to Athens again in order to access the full-text. Elsevier do not supply a direct link. Use the Login option at the top of the page and follow the links to Athens All available titles can be browsed via the NHS Evidence My Journals facility after logging in via Athens. The NHS Evidence HIR site ( www.library.nhs.uk ) will undergo maintenance on Tuesday 19 th April, between 7-9pm.  Please note that there may be a short loss of service during this time. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.

The Athens service will be undergoing maintenance during the 21st April. This may affect logon services, access to resources and registration services during the morning. Apologies for any convenience caused.

Please note that there will not be any extended loan period to cover the University Easter vacation period. All loan periods will be as normal except when the Health Library is closed . If you are going away for the Easter break please ensure that the period your books are checked out for will cover your absence. Remember that items can be recalled at any time and charges increase substantially for recalled books.

The Outreach Librarian Service has changed their telephone number. You can now contact the outreach librarians Clare and Lindsay on FeatureNet extension 8429 or externally on 0300 123 1535 ext 8429 The Outreach Service is available to NHS staff who are working in the community whether for any of the PCTs or Combined Healthcare in North Staffordshire.
