The 2010 Evidence Update on Stroke Rehabilitation is now available from the NHS Evidence – Stroke specialist collection.  It covers systematic reviews published between 1st July 2009 and 30th September 2010, with expert reviewers summarising evidence and commenting on key developments in the field. The update covers: Organisation of care Upper limb Mobility Speech and language Post-stroke depression Cognition and perception Living with stroke Uncertainties

NHS Evidence – eyes and vision has released its 2010 update on Glaucoma . This includes new evidence since 2009 and highlights: Epidemiology Screening Medical Management Optic Disk Imaging Assessment of Visual Field Progression

Eduserv will be making changes to the way that you log on to their Athens service during 23rd November. The web address or URL to access My Athens will be changing from www.athens.ac.uk . www.athens.nhs.uk or www.athensams.net to a NEW My Athens URL www.openathens.net    If you have bookmarked this you will need to update to the new URL. Note that the way you log in to Athens via an NHS site or a journal site has not changed. The new login screen will look like this: Users should be aware that the service may be unavailable for short periods of time while the amendments are taking place.

Wiley have reported that the problem with authentication via Athens has now been resolved. Users should have no problem accessing our Wiley resources via the links from Athens.

This year's Annual Evidence Update (AEU) from the commissioning  and innovation and improvement specialist collections is on end of life care . It aims to bring together up-to-date knowledge and evidence about aspects of end of life care, including patient experience, measurement, pathways and access to services.

Wiley report that there is an ongoing problem with access to the Wiley Online Library via Athens. Users are advised to logon by going directly to the Wiley site and clicking the Athens login link. This will affect users accessing journals published by Wiley.

Eduserv will be carrying out maintenance on the Athens services during Tuesday 16th November. Users are advised that they may experience slight delays when using the service or the service may be unavailable for short periods. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The NHS Evidence special collection for Diabetes have published their 4th AEU on diabetes . You can view the latest systematic reviews published as well as commentaries on diabetic nephropathy and vitamin D and diabetes.
